Black, Red, and Green for Graduation InvitationsGraduations are one of those major milestones in life that deserve not only to be recognized but also to be celebrated. Whether the student in your life has just earned a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree, or an even higher degree, you’ll want to find a way to show him or her just how proud you are of their hard work and their accomplishment. If you want to throw a party for your hard-working student, then you want to start with a theme. Of course, coming up with a great theme can be a challenge. One idea is to use colors, such as black, red, and green. Color SignificanceWhy black, red, and green? For one, the colors look beautiful together. Plus, the colors are so versatile that you can find combinations that work for informal parties or for more formal events. Some examples include the following invitations which combine the colors in a number of different ways: Red Caps, Grad Hands, Graduation Hats, and Graduation Column. Even more importantly, these colors have special significance. Take green, for example. Green is the color of money and most graduates definitely want plenty of that so they can start building their life and paying off all those student loans. Green is also a calming color to help them relax after the stress and exertion of school, plus it’s the color of ambition and most graduates have plenty of ambition. Red is another great color. Usually red is associated with passion, energy, determination, and power. These are all characteristics that describe most successful graduates and the color should inspire them to make achieve even bigger accomplishments in their future. And don’t forget the power of the color black. Even though alone black can seem like a frightening color, it’s also a color associated with elegance and power. As your student moves up the success ladder, the color black will become more and more associated with him or her. It’s simply one of the colors of success. Incorporating the ColorsIf you decide to use these three colors as your theme, then start with the invitations and maintain that color scheme throughout your decorations. Another good reason to choose red, green, and black is that they are easy to find when you’re tracking down decorations. Plus, they look beautiful on graduation cakes. You can even take the theme a little further by giving the student a present that includes all three colors: a red rose, a black vase, and an envelope full of beautiful green money. It’s the present all graduates are hoping for. |
