Graduation Announcements
Graduation is an important time in life, and should be announced properly. Stationary with crayons and graduation caps on it is an appropriate means of announcing a child graduating from kindergarten. A photo announcement is a nice keepsake for loved ones who are being invited to the graduation.
Here is a sample of the wording that you could use for the announcement:
Mr. and Mrs. John D. Jones
Proudly announce their daughter’s Kindergarten Graduation
And invite you to attend this memorable event
Susie J. Jones, Class of 2007
Will graduate from Wee Kids Kindergarten
June 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
Wee Kids Village School
777 Merry Meeting Way
Kidsville, USA
Middle and high school graduation announcements are usually an expression of the personality of the graduating student. Appropriate announcement choices are those with emblems of stars, graduation caps, and diplomas on them. Photo announcements are also a choice that is gaining in popularity.
For those desiring a to hand out a less formal announcement, basic stationery could be used with clip art inserts of the graduate’s hobbies, field of study or accomplishments over the years. These types of announcements can be made on a home computer. Stationery can be purchased online or at an office supply store like in our website. If you are intending to insert your own clipart, along with the wording, you will want to purchase stationery that does not have borders or artwork on it. A careful search of stationery may yield suitable artwork already printed on the paper, leaving space for your announcement to be printed in the center.
Below is a sample of wording that you may choose to use for teen graduations:
Mr. and Mrs. John D. Jones
Are proud to announce the graduation of their daughter
Susie J. Jones

Not all high school graduates are teens. Some students have returned to school to complete their diploma after many years of not attending school. It is appropriate in that situation, that the graduate announce his own graduation. Wording could be done as follows:
I, Mr. John D. Jones
Am pleased to announce
I have completed diploma requirements
of XYZ High School.
I would be honored if you would share my day
celebrating this accomplishment and milestone.
Commencement will be on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
At XYZ High School
777 Accomplishment Way
Perseverance, NY
College graduations are much more formal. Some stationary stores offer French fold invitations complete with tissue paper and RSVP cards, similar to those used for wedding invitations. The inside has a scroll with an honor cord on it, and is printed in calligraphy.
Sample wording:
The President, Faculty, and Graduating Class of
Wisdom, Discernment and Grace College
Announce that
John D. Jones
Is a candidate of a
Bachelor’s of Science degree
Commencement will take place on
June 2, 2007 at 2:00 pm
At the Athletic Field of the College
