Graduation Photo and Your Scrapbooking Project

Honoring the graduate is one of the most important parts of the graduation ceremony. If you’ve organized your photo albums over the years, then everything should be up to date. But, if you are like most of us, then you’re family photos are probably piled up in boxes in the attic. Since you are going to be graduating pretty soon, now is the time to start getting organized and organizing all your pictures.

While making your own graduation scrapbook, remember one thing – Never over do it. Pick and select anything that represents you as a graduate. Be it academic achievements or sports or musical accomplishments, displaying your photos, awards, trophies, and newspaper clippings can be an exciting way to remember your college or high school years by. Some people prefer to make a big ‘Shrine’, while others like to spread things around like collage work. Whatever maybe your preference, scrapbooking is a nice way for people to see all the things that you accomplished as a graduate.

While making your own graduation scrapbook project, never limit the pictures to just yourself and your friends. Include photos of your family, relatives, extended family, and even your school or college mates. Assemble a few good pictures for every occasion and design a page that points out who all are there in the picture. What’s more, you can even describe the occasion and any other interesting facts.

Here’s how you go about making your own scrapbooking project:

  • Gather all your graduation photos and memorabilia that will somehow represent each of the different themes that you have chosen for your pages.
  • Use these photos and memorabilia to make your scrapbook. Keep an album, some patterned papers for decoration, a patch and your themed accents aside.
  • Place all these items on the coordinating page. Stick the pictures where you want them to go.
  • Use the embellishments and the memorabilia to decorate your scrapbook. For every theme in the book you can add your own personal inspiration in writing.
  • Add the final touches by including memorabilia from your graduation day to give it that special meaning.

Workshops are the places to go to if you’re looking to get inspired by new and creative ideas. Besides, this way you will get to complete your scrapbooking project in peace, away from the distractions of home. Workshops are offered at scrapbook supply stores and even in the comfort of your own home. You can also organize a scrapbooking part with your graduate friends. However, if scrapbooking is too overwhelming a task for you, then there are people who can make scrapbooks for you professionally.

When scrapbooking, if you want to create a certain mood on your scrapbook pages, then writing quotes and poems (Poems, Part I, Poems, Part II, Poems, Part III, Poems, Part IV ) can be a very interesting way of doing this. More often than not, an unusual phrase or a poem will perfectly capture the emotions and sentiments that you need to be expressed. From the excitement of starting something new to the nostalgia of leaving your college years behind forever, there is no better way to capture these sentiments!

Since most people love to go through photo albums and scrapbooks, it is worth all your time and effort to put together all those photos of your self during your graduation years. A scrapbook album makes a perfect gift for your friends after the graduation party. But, if you are making a scrapbook for yourself, don’t forget to leave space in your scrapbook for your graduation day pictures!
