Chill Out with Black, Lime, and Blue Flowers for your Summer Party

The summer may still seem far away, but now is a good time to start thinking about planning your first parties of spring or summer. When the weather finally warms up for good, you want to have a plan for an incredible celebration. Let’s look at some ideas for a fabulous summer gathering.

Summer Party Ideas

If you’re having a summer party, then an outdoor setting is probably the perfect choice. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to choose your own backyard – let’s face it, getting our backyards to look presentable after the long winter months can be a huge chore. Other outdoor settings could include parks, botanical gardens, public or private pools, country clubs, or similar venues.

You could also use another family member’s or friend’s backyard, too, if they have a nicer or larger one than you do.

Summer parties typically involve grilling. If you choose to grill, you can still decide whether you want a casual or formal event. Partially, the food you choose will determine the formality of your party. Hot dogs and hamburgers are appropriate for more casual affairs. Chicken breasts, steaks, and similar items are better choices for formal parties. If you’re trying to decide on some side dishes, remember that grilled vegetables, including corn on the cob, asparagus, and even potatoes are all excellent accompaniments.

Remember to have plenty of beverages on hand. Cold beer is a popular drink at summer parties – you may want to choose a few varieties. A keg might even be a good choice for casual celebrations. For more formal parties, you might want to serve wine or cocktails. Pitchers of frozen drinks, such as margaritas or pina coladas, are also nice choices for summer parties. Don’t forget to have some non-alcoholic choices on hand, too – iced sodas, water, or fruit juices – for designated drivers, minors, and guests feeling a bit dehydrated from the alcohol and heat.

Choosing Invitations for Summer Parties

Even though it may still be too early to begin sending out invitations for your summer party, you can certainly start thinking about the invitations you would choose. First, you may want to create a guest list – make sure to write out the names of the people you want to invite instead of trying to retain it in your memory.

Once you know how many people you want to invite, consider some invitations with a floral theme (especially if you want to connect your decorations to those flowers). Two beautiful options include Black, Lime, and Blue Flowers and Purple Flower Mayfairs.
