If you’d like to give a party but don’t want all the fuss of cooking, house cleaning, and planning activities, throw an impromptu picnic party. This is a great party if you have children and have lots of friends with children. And, I’m going to show you how to do it, so that it’s no fuss and takes very little time. Here are five simple steps for a great picnic party.
An alternative to this menu idea is to simply organize the date and location and have each family bring its own food. This may prove simpler for families who have children who are very picky eaters. Personally, I like to bring food and share, but do whatever works for your circle of friends.
See how simple this party can be? One of the reasons, in my opinion, that people don’t gather and socialize as often as they would like is that nobody wants to take the responsibility to plan and execute a party. We worry that we don’t have enough time, our budget is too tight, or we’ll never get the house cleaned in time. This party removes all of those worries. It’s inexpensive, the duties are spread out among all the guests and you don’t even have to clean your house! If there’s a rental fee on the picnic tables (many parks don’t charge a fee) you can ask for contributions or rotate who organizes the party and pays the fee.
This is one of my favorite parties of the year. My children so look forward to lunch and an afternoon at the park with their friends. It’s stress free and parents get to enjoy an afternoon at the park with their friends, too. Plan this party with your friends. I guarantee you’ll want to make it a yearly event.
