Getting married in Las Vegas may be the epitome of fun and spontaneity, but it can also be a way to add some flair and creativity to your wedding invitations, too. You just need to be open to some ideas.

Since most Las Vegas ceremonies are going to be destination weddings, you could always start off by having your save the date information printed on poker chips – possibly in your wedding colors. You could send the poker chips to your guests with a small, traditional save-the-date card or just by themselves.

When you’re choosing the actual wedding invitations, you can find a number of pre-made options designed specifically for these types of wedding themes. Some of the paper styles may include slot machines, poker chips, casinos, playing cards, and more. By browsing the Internet, you’ll be able to find several options that might meet your needs.

If you want something more unique, you could hire a graphic designer or artist to draw a picture of the casino or location in Las Vegas where you’ll be getting married or an aerial view of the Las Vegas strip all lit up at night. You could also use photographs that you’ve taken as the focus of your wedding invitations. If you want a humorous slant for your Las Vegas wedding invitations, take a picture of one of the many quickie wedding joints and use that on your invitation.

When you’re planning a destination wedding such as a trip to Las Vegas, you need to make sure your wedding invitations aren’t just lovely to look at. They also need to include some important information. One way to accomplish this is by having a separate paper with the details printed up and mailed with the rest of the invitation. You don’t need these pages to be professionally printed. You can purchase your own stationery paper, perhaps something keeping in the theme – decorated with poker chips or money, for example – and explain the lodging arrangements, as well as making it clear what you will be paying for and what will be your guests’ responsibility. If your guests are paying for their own lodgings but are receiving a discount because of the wedding, include this information as well.

Although the main reason for everyone joining you in Las Vegas is to celebrate your nuptials, you should plan some other activities to keep your guests happy after their arrival. Why not invite everyone to a meal at one of the casino’s restaurants? This will give people a chance to socialize and meet the other guests. You might also try to secure tickets to one of the casino shows in advance so your guests can all attend together. That doesn’t mean, of course, that you have to plan out your guests’ entire Las Vegas visit. Leave them some free time to enjoy the casino and soak in the city on their own, too.

One final fun way to incorporate the theme into your wedding is by creating adorable bonbonnieres containing poker chips wrapped in fabric and tied in a ribbon. You can hand these to each of your guests and give them a chance to test their luck in the casino. It would be the perfect ending to your perfect Las Vegas wedding.
