Open-end Envelope

Usually called catalog or policy envelopes, no.10 size open-end envelopes are open on the short side of the envelope. These sturdy envelopes come in various sizes and are ideal for mailing heavy-duty documents like catalogs, flyers, brochures and shipping documents, etc. They also work well for pamphlets, sales literature, booklets, annual reports, and newsletters. They normally come with a gummed flap to enable fix them so that they protect the contents securely. Some also come with tags and clasps. Generally they are not processed through automatic inserting equipment.

Open end envelopes are also used for insurance policies, wills, mortgages and similar legal documents. Most businesses use these stationery envelopes for regular correspondence. These envelopes can be printed on laser or inkjet printers.
